Equipment-only purchasing provides defined products and freight; the buyer handles site planning, unloading, foundations, surfacing, installation, approvals, inspections, and closeout. A planned or "coordinated" project coordinates more of those responsibilities under a written scope. Buyers should compare exact inclusions and exclusions rather than relying on labels.
When equipment-only fits

Choose consultation-led planning when the property needs layouts or renderings when available, alternative products, budgeting, multiple amenity elements, delivery coordination, or installation. Compare responsibilities
Clarify who handles measurement, design, engineering, permits, utilities, drainage, foundations, surfacing, freight, unloading, storage, installation, inspections, restoration, warranty records, and maintenance. "Coordinated" should never be assumed to include every item without a written scope.
Compare budget and schedule
