The Foundation for Community Association Research’s 2025 Statistical Review estimates Florida has 50,600 community associations, 4,473,000 units, and 10,882,000 residents in associations. Those are Foundation estimates, not a GOA census. Nationwide the same review lists 373,000 associations and estimates 374,000–377,000 U.S. associations in 2026.

How common are dog parks and outdoor fitness at park agencies?

The 2026 NRPA Agency Performance Review (median “typical agency,” more than 850 U.S. agencies, Park Metrics surveys 2023–2025) finds 71% of agencies provide a dog park and 56% provide a fitness zone. The median population per dog park is 48,539 residents; per fitness zone, 33,188. These are national park-agency benchmarks, not Florida HOA counts and not GOA project counts.

What is not included in those package prices?

The published package prices do not include fencing, surfacing, drainage, concrete, electrical, permitting, engineering, or installation. Installation is available on Florida projects only when it is in a written scope. Outside Florida, GOA ships equipment and does not claim nationwide turnkey installation.

  1. Commercial equipment in the named package
  2. Freight to the contiguous U.S. at the published $999 package rate
  3. 3-year warranty on those packages
  4. Fencing (separate)

Which Florida projects can GOA name?

City-level only: Century Village outdoor project in Deerfield Beach; HOA, condo, and multifamily dog park projects in Cooper City; municipal outdoor fitness in St. Augustine. Streets are not published. No park names beyond those facts. Dog park planning: /dog-park. Project list: /projects.

Is a community dog park the same as a public dog park?

No. A community dog park is a fenced resident amenity for an HOA, condo, or multifamily property. People searching “dog park near me” want a public park to visit. Commercial dog park projects are planned on /dog-park. NRPA’s 71% figure is park agencies, not HOAs.

How should a board or city write the budget lines?

Write equipment, freight, surfacing, and Florida installation as separate lines. Do not vote a single blended number. Planning steps live on /resources/florida-hoa-outdoor-amenity-planning. The project offer lives on /florida-hoa-amenity-projects. The commercial dog park conversion page is /dog-park.

  1. Goal — the outcome the amenity is meant to deliver for residents, stated in one line.
  2. Photos and site — your photos or site plan and the area under discussion.
  3. Phase mix — the amenity mix and phasing options when the budget funds part of the scope this year.
  4. Separate line items — equipment, freight, surfacing, and, for Florida projects, installation as a separately written scope.
  5. Meeting date — the packet is built backward from the meeting date you are working toward.
