Choose a practical location
The dog park should be convenient for guests without conflicting with vehicle circulation, campsites, utilities, drainage, maintenance operations, or other amenities. Document the usable dimensions, slopes, surface, shade conditions, access route, and nearby sensitive areas.
Plan the complete space, not only the equipment. Depending on the property, the site may also need fencing, controlled entry, suitable surfacing, waste stations, water, seating, shade, signage, lighting, and an accessible route.
